Closing of the Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) of Military Police Unit-VI (MINUSCA) and EOD Unit- V (MINUSMA)

The Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) of Military Police Unit-VI and EOD Unit - V officially concluded on 12 March 2018 at Birendra Peace Operation Training Center (BPOTC). Total strength of 120 troops of Military police Unit-VI are scheduled to deploy in United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) and 140 troops of EOD unit-V, are scheduled to deploy in United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in April 2018.

Hence, peacekeeping training should have a systematic approach in order to develop training standards, policies, guidance and best practices for the trainers. Only the outcome of such training can help to meet the mission requirements."
