Opening of the Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) of Rana Shardul Battalion, NEPBATT- LX (UNIFIL) and Military Police unit (MINUSCA)

The Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) of Shree Ran Shardul Battalion, UNIFIL NEPBATT- LX and Military Police Unit (MINUSCA) officially started on 9th July 2018 at Birendra Peace Operation Training Center (BPOTC). The Battalion of 850 troops in United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) and Military police unit in United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission In The Central African Republic are scheduled to be deployed at the end of October 2018.

Hence, peacekeeping training should have a systematic approach in order to develop training standards, policies, guidance and best practices for the trainers. Only the outcome of such training can help to meet the mission requirements."
