French Language course commences

S.N. 2 French language courses to peacekeepers commenced on 24 April 2018 at BPOTC. The 100 hours course of French language is being conducted by Nepali Army in collaboration with Alliance Françoise, Kathmandu.

Total No. of 110 peacekeepers are participating on this course who all are going to deploy to Missions area in French speaking countries, namely Democratic republic of Congo (MONUSCO) and Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

"There is no question that as UN peacekeeping continues to evolve, so will the training needs of UN peacekeepers. Hence, peacekeeping training should have a systematic approach in order to develop training standards, policies, guidance and best practices for the trainers. Only the outcome of such training can help to meet the mission requirements."
