French Language Course Commences

The commandant of Birendra peace Operations Training Centre (BPOTC), Col Manoj Baidawar formally addressed the Opening Ceremony of "French Language Course" on 02 Dec 2019. This course has 100 hours sessions and altogether 50 participants are included in the course. This course is introduced in Pre Deployment Training (PDT) in order to bridge communication gap between the Nepali Army Peacekeepers and the local population of the  mission area where French Language prevalent.

Deputy Director of Alliance Française Mr. Prabin Bikram Rana was also present in the Opening Ceremony. Mr. Sashi Bikram Karki from Alliance Française will be taking all the sessions.

UNDPKO recognizes the PDT and UN Staff Officers Course Conducted in BPOTC

The United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations has recently verified and provided the Training Recognition to the Contingent Pre-deployment Training and United Nations Staffs Officers Course conducted by the BPOTC.

COAS's Speech

"There is no question that as UN peacekeeping continues to evolve, so will the training needs of UN peacekeepers. Hence, peacekeeping training should have a systematic approach in order to develop training standards, policies, guidance and best practices for the trainers. Only the outcome of such training can help to meet the mission requirements."
